Telehealth Therapy

Individual Therapy

Telehealth Therapy is tailored to each individual—drawing on their unique needs,  challenges, and personal strengths.

  • Mood disorders (such as anxiety and depression)
  • Neurodiversgence (such as ADHD and Autism)

Assessments

All assessments NeuruNurture conducts are for young people aged 16 and under. They involve a 1 hour parent interview, a comprehensive report and 30 minute clinician feedback. Assessments are conducted face to face.

Cognitive Assessments

This assessment comprises of:

  • 2-3 hour child assessment using Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - 5th Edition (WISC-V);
  • Assessment for parents and teachers - the Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System 3 (ABAS-3);

Achievement Assessments

This assessment comprises of:

  • 2-3 hour child assessment using Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - 5th Edition (WISC-V);
  • 2-3 hour child assessment using the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - 3rd Edition (WIAT-III);
  • Assessment for parents and teachers - the Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System 3 (ABAS-3);

ADHD Assessments

This assessment comprises of:

  • 2-3 hour child assessment using Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - 5th Edition (WISC-V);
  • 2-3 hour child assessment using the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - 3rd Edition (WIAT-III);
  • 1 hour child assessment using the Developmental Neuropsychological Assessment - 2nd Edition (NEPSY-II)
  • Assessments for parents and teachers - Connors 4, the Child  Behavioural Checklist (CBCL) and the Adaptive Behaviour Assessment  System 3 (ABAS-3);

You are only required to have a referral if your would like to access 10 medicare rebated sessions per calendar year. 


You can get this by booking a Mental Health appointment with your GP (this will typically be a 30 minute appointment) and discuss with them your desire to speak to a psychologist. This will give you 6 sessions initially. Following these 6 sessions, Jo will write to your GP requesting a further 4 sessions. You will then need to go back to your GP to do a Mental Health Care Plan review where your GP will provide an additional 4 sessions pending they believe you would benefit.


Therapy sessions typically last for 50 minutes.
